Gordon Ramsay Air Fryer Steak Recipe

Gordon Ramsay Air Fryer Steak

Gordon Ramsay’s Air Fryer Steak is a quick and efficient way to achieve a perfectly cooked steak with a crispy exterior and a tender, juicy interior. The steak is seasoned simply with salt, pepper, and garlic, then cooked in the air fryer at high heat, creating a beautifully seared crust without needing a grill or stovetop pan. This method ensures even cooking and retains the natural flavors of the beef.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless ribeye or sirloin steaks (1-inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (for finishing)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary or thyme (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer: Set the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Season the steak: Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel. Rub olive oil all over, then season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Place in the air fryer: Arrange the steaks in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  4. Cook the steak: Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8-12 minutes, flipping halfway through:
    • Rare: 6-7 minutes
    • Medium-rare: 8 minutes
    • Medium: 9-10 minutes
    • Medium-well: 11 minutes
    • Well-done: 12-13 minutes
  5. Rest the steak: Remove the steak and let it rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
  6. Finish with butter: Top each steak with a pat of butter and fresh rosemary or thyme for extra flavor.
  7. Slice and serve: Cut against the grain and enjoy with your favorite sides.
