Gordon Ramsay Fondue Cookies Recipe

Gordon Ramsay Fondue Cookies

Gordon Ramsay’s fondue cookies are delicate, slightly sweet cookies made for dipping into a chocolate or caramel fondue. They hold their shape well but have a soft crumb that melts in the mouth when dipped. Unlike overly sweet cookies, these are balanced to complement the richness of the fondue. They’re simple to prepare, elegant in presentation, and add a playful twist to dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened

  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg yolk

  • 2¼ cups (280g) all-purpose flour

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Pinch of sea salt

  • Optional: zest of 1 lemon or orange for added flavor

For the chocolate fondue (optional but recommended):

  • 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • ½ cup (120ml) heavy cream

  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Step 2: Cream together softened butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.

  • Step 3: Add the egg yolk, vanilla extract, and citrus zest if using. Mix until combined.

  • Step 4: Gradually add flour and salt, mixing just until a soft dough forms.

  • Step 5: Roll the dough into 1-inch balls or flatten slightly for dipping-friendly shapes.

  • Step 6: Place on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between cookies.

  • Step 7: Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.

  • Step 8: Let cookies cool on the tray for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
