Gordon Ramsay Garlic Bread Recipe

Gordon Ramsay Garlic Bread

Gordon Ramsay’s garlic bread is a refined take on the classic, using high-quality ingredients to elevate its taste. Instead of relying on basic garlic butter, he incorporates fresh herbs, Parmesan cheese, and a perfectly crisp baguette. The result? A golden, flavorful bread that’s crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, bursting with rich garlic and herb flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 baguette of Italian bread (sliced in half lengthwise)
  • 4 tablespoons (½ stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely minced or grated
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven – Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) for even baking.
  2. Prepare the garlic butter – In a bowl, mix softened butter, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Add fresh herbs – Stir in the chopped parsley for a burst of fresh flavor.
  4. Slice and spread – Cut the baguette in half lengthwise and generously spread the garlic butter mixture over both halves.
  5. Sprinkle Parmesan (optional) – For extra flavor, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the buttered bread.
  6. Bake until golden – Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges turn golden and crispy.
  7. Broil for extra crunch – For an even crispier finish, broil on high for 1-2 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
  8. Serve immediately – Slice into portions and serve warm.
