Gordon Ramsay Steak Marinade Recipe

Gordon Ramsay Steak Marinade

Gordon Ramsay’s Steak Marinade is a flavorful mixture of olive oil, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, fresh herbs, and a touch of acidity. This blend helps tenderize the meat while infusing it with a rich, savory taste. The marinade works well with ribeye, sirloin, filet mignon, and even flank or skirt steak.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (or red wine vinegar)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for extra depth)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, for brightness)

Instructions

  1. Mix the ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
  2. Marinate the steak: Place the steak in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  3. Let it rest: Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 8 hours for deeper flavor.
  4. Remove and dry the steak: Before cooking, take the steak out of the marinade and pat it dry with paper towels to ensure a good sear.
  5. Cook as desired: Grill, pan-sear, or air-fry the steak to your preferred doneness.
