Gordon Ramsay Teriyaki Salmon Recipe – A Sweet & Savory Delight

Gordon Ramsay Teriyaki Salmon recipe

Gordon Ramsay’s Teriyaki Salmon consists of pan-seared salmon fillets glazed with a homemade teriyaki sauce, made from soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger. The result is a crispy, caramelized exterior and a tender, flaky interior packed with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the salmon:

    • 2 salmon fillets (skin-on)
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
    • ½ tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
    • 1 tbsp chopped green onions (for garnish)
  • For the teriyaki sauce:

    • ¼ cup soy sauce (low sodium recommended)
    • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
    • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
    • 1 tbsp mirin (optional)
    • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 1 tsp cornstarch (mixed with 1 tbsp water)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the teriyaki sauce – In a saucepan over medium heat, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, mirin, ginger, and garlic. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Thicken the sauce – Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Season the salmon – Pat the salmon fillets dry, then season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Sear the salmon – Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Place the salmon skin-side down and cook for 3-4 minutes until crispy. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Glaze the salmon – Pour the teriyaki sauce over the salmon and cook for 1 more minute, spooning the sauce over the fillets.
  6. Garnish and serve – Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions, then serve with rice, vegetables, or noodles.
