  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  • 1 tbsp honey (for sweetness)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

 

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

Sauté the Aromatics:

  1. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and onion powder, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Mix the Base Ingredients:

  1. Stir in ketchup, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard.
  2. Add brown sugar, honey, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.

Simmer the Sauce:

  1. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste.

Blend for a Smooth Texture (Optional):

  1. For a smoother sauce, blend until silky.

Serve or Store:

 

  1. Let the sauce cool before serving. Store in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 1 week.
