Gordon Ramsay’s Sticky Lemon Chicken is a quick and flavorful recipe made with chicken thighs, fresh lemon juice, honey, soy sauce, and garlic. The chicken is pan-seared and then glazed in a sticky, citrus-infused sauce, making it a perfect weeknight dinner or elegant main course.
6 chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1-inch piece of ginger, grated
Zest and juice of 1 lemon
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp rice vinegar or white wine vinegar
1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
Fresh parsley or coriander, for garnish
Lemon slices, for serving
Season chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
Sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, reduce heat to medium.
Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, honey, soy sauce, and vinegar.
Bring to a gentle simmer for 2–3 minutes.
If desired, add cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
Return the chicken to the pan and toss to coat with the sauce.
Simmer for 2–3 more minutes, basting the chicken with the sticky glaze.
Garnish with chopped parsley or coriander and lemon slices.
Serve hot over rice, noodles, or with stir-fried vegetables.
