Gordon Ramsay Tiramisu – Creamy, Rich & Irresistible

Gordon Ramsay Tiramisu

Gordon Ramsay’s Tiramisu is a classic Italian dessert made by layering coffee-soaked ladyfingers with a rich mascarpone cream, lightly sweetened and flavored with cocoa and a hint of liqueur. It is chilled to perfection, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup strong brewed espresso, cooled
  • 2 tbsp coffee liqueur (Kahlúa or Marsala wine, optional)
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese, softened
  • ½ cup heavy cream, whipped
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 20 ladyfinger biscuits (Savoiardi)
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
  • Dark chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Coffee Mixture:

  1. Brew espresso and let it cool to room temperature.
  2. Mix in coffee liqueur (if using) for added depth.

Make the Mascarpone Cream:

  1. Whisk egg yolks and sugar in a heatproof bowl over a double boiler until pale and slightly thickened.
  2. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Fold in mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gently fold in whipped cream to create a light, airy texture.

Assemble the Tiramisu:

  1. Dip ladyfingers in espresso for 1-2 seconds (don’t soak too long).
  2. Arrange a layer of soaked ladyfingers in a serving dish.
  3. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  4. Repeat layers – Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers, followed by the remaining mascarpone cream.

Chill and Serve:

  1. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is best).
  2. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
  3. Garnish with chocolate shavings, if desired.
